How to do it: Have your partner lie flat on his back, and sit on his penis, facing away from him, with your legs straddling the outside of his thighs. When he’s inside of you, lean back on your hands and use your feet to lift up.
Benefits: One word: novelty. It doesn’t hurt that your partner has an interesting view of your body.
Variation: You can also face your partner to start, doing the backbend over his legs, rather than his torso. Just be careful not to bend the penis back too far.
How to do it: Kneel, facing your partner (and have him kneel to face you, too). Then have him shift his legs so that his left leg stays kneeling and his right leg is at a 90-degree angle with the floor. Keep your right leg kneeling, and lift your left leg over your guy’s right leg.
Benefits: Since you’re face-to-face, you can kiss, hold each other, and touch tons of places on each other’s bodies. You can also control the depth of penetration by moving up or down.
Variation: This move could also be done lying down, with your knees bent and your feet pushing against a wall.
How to do it: Lie on your back, with your partner lying on his side to the right of you. Then have him pick up your right leg and pull it over his waist while he puts his upper leg over your left thigh. Finally, he should lift his pelvis up so that he can enter your vagina from the side while you angle it toward him.
Benefits: This position is relaxing and doesn’t require a ton of effort—great for when you’re a little tired. It also gives him easy access to your clitoris.
Variation: You can also try making love side-by-side with your legs straight or moving his torso up off the bed (or, you know, floor).
How to do it: Sit on the edge of a low couch with your legs at a 90-degree angle and your feet flat on the floor. Have your partner kneel between your legs, facing you (with your legs on either side of his thighs). As he enters you, lean back on your arms to thrust.
Benefits: This is great for when you want to move things out of the bedroom. Plus, both you and your guy can control the rhythm and intensity of the penetration.
Variation: You can also sit up and pull yourself into him if you wrap your arms around his waist.
How to do it: Get a large exercise ball, and lie back on it with your legs spread apart and your head resting back on the ball (reach your fingers to the floor for support). Then have him kneel next to you as you have sex. If you feel comfortable taking your hands off of the floor, free to use them to grab his butt and draw him deeper into you.
Benefits: The tilt of your pelvis here allows for deeper penetration.
Variation: Have your partner lay back on the ball, positioning his hands on the floor to maintain his balance. Then you can sit on top of his penis (either facing him or facing away).
How to do it: Have him sit in a rocking char, and sit in his lap, straddling his legs and placing them under the arms of the chair. Help him slide into you, then use your feet to push off so the chair starts rocking.
Benefits: This intimate position will help you feel super close to your partner.
Variation: You can also face away from your guy and sit down onto him that way.
How to do it: Have your partner push his back against one side of the doorway, keeping his feet flat on the floor. Then instruct him to bend his knees until his legs are at a 90-degree angle. (He can rest his arms against the doorway if he needs extra support.) Face away from him, straddle his legs, and tip your pelvis back, allowing his penis to enter your vagina from behind. Then bend at the waist, and lean your hands on the other side of the doorway.
Benefits: Sex standing up is super hot because it feels spontaneous. This position also allows for lots of muscle tension, which can feel very erotic for some people.
Variation: You can also face your partner while he leans against the doorframe.
How to do it: Get in missionary position, then pull one of your legs up toward your nose and under his body.
Benefits: The vertical spread of your legs changes the angle of penetration so your clitoris is more exposed. He’ll also enjoy the visual of seeing your legs like that. Meanwhile, his hands are free to explore—and pleasure—your body.
Variation: If you’re very flexible, you can also try this position standing.
